Supporting EMEYF

Why does EMEYF need Friends' support?

EMEYF depends on the financial support and generosity of Meetings from across the Section to be able to provide Young Friends with the opportunity to gather together for worship and spiritual nourishment. Over the past few years, despite careful management, EMEYF has run a budget deficit. Therefore, in order to continue to support Young Friends who require assistance with travel, gathering fees and other costs, EMEYF needs to increase its funding. We do not want to leave Young Friends who have to make long and often expensive journeys isolated!

In the past Europe & Middle East Section (EMES) has made a direct annual payment to support EMEYF’s activities. This is no longer the case and from now on EMEYF will be approaching Meetings directly for support.

How can Friends support EMEYF?

You can support EMEYF and the activities of Young Friends in a number of ways:

  • Meetings can choose to make either a one-off or annual donation to EMEYF.
  • Meetings can hold a collection in support of EMEYF.
  • Meetings can financially support a Young Friend from their Meeting to attend an EMEYF gathering or event.
  • Individual Friends can make a donation, however small, directly to EMEYF.

And of course, by telling Friends, however young or old, about EMEYF, what it is and what we do.
